Both options create real-time ambient lighting that reacts to what’s on your screen, but they sync in different ways.

HDMI 2.0 Sync reads the video signal directly through an HDMI 2.0 sync box for fast, precise colour matching from external devices.

Camera Sync uses a small top-mounted camera to read colours directly from your TV screen, working with all on-screen content including built-in apps.

Each option is designed for different viewing setups and usage styles.

Which one should I choose?

Choose HDMI 2.0 if:

  • You mainly use external devices (PS5, Xbox, PC, Apple TV, Fire Stick)
  • You want ultra-fast, accurate colour syncing
  • You don’t want a camera visible on your TV

Choose Camera Sync if:

  • You mainly use built-in TV apps (Netflix, Disney+, YouTube)
  • You want one solution that works with everything on your TV
  • You don’t mind a small, discreet top-mounted camera
Does HDMI 2.0 work with TV apps like Netflix or YouTube?

Not directly.

HDMI 2.0 reacts to external HDMI sources only.

If you watch content using your TV’s built-in apps, Camera Sync is the better option.

If you’re between sizes, choosing the closer range will still deliver even coverage and a clean glow.
